Genesis Gv70 Changes For 2023 – South Korean luxury brand Genesis is taking a two-pronged approach to introducing electric vehicles. On the other hand, you have a space for speed and a completely unique offering like the GV60 SUV, with a dedicated EV platform, a crazy class of speech, amazing looks and awesome performance. But Genesis is hedging its odds by offering even more conventional electric versions of its current lineup, like the electrified G80 sedan, which looks almost exactly like the gas-powered version inside and out, but features an electric motor.
The latest model of the Genesis is positioned as the idea of the G80 Electrified “hidden in plain sight”: the 2023 GV70 Electrified, a powerful engine version of the mid-size two-row SUV. So what has changed between the car version and this electric version?
Genesis Gv70 Changes For 2023
Like the electrified G80 sedan, the changes to transform the GV70 into an electric GV70 are minimal. The biggest change seems to be that the “G-Matrix” design grid is now reversed. There is no mesh, because the engine does not need a cooling air flow that is not there; but there is a solid panel grille that cleverly hides the port of the SUV. On the sides, some distinctive, special 20-inch wheels and tires come standard. At the back, a flat horizontal plate replaces the exhaust plate for a cleaner look.
Genesis Gv70 Buyer’s Guide: Reviews, Specs, Comparisons
The rest is kind of a gas-powered GV70, which isn’t bad. In the Genesis environment, the expression of the model is appropriate and truly impressive, while providing a strong look that models the brand’s own look both inside and out over the past decade.
This is a good question. Short answer: we don’t know for sure yet. Genesis has only released a few South Korean numbers, saying it’s a little early for the car to be available in the US (which is odd since it’s already in production.
What will the Koreans gain? The electrified GV70 will only be available as a standard all-wheel drive motor package, but it has the ability to know when only two wheels are needed versus four, and the single-axis motor can be disabled to increase energy and range. The power of the two machines was delivered as a system of only 360 kilowatts … which means nothing to the Americans, who are measuring everything in Liberty, so it translates to 483 horsepower.
However, like the GV60, the electrified GV70 will also have a boost button on the steering wheel that boosts power with the push of a button to boost speed in 10 seconds. Genesis officials say the SUV is good at going from 0 to 100 mph in just 4.5 seconds. I’ve experienced the absolutely mind-blowing acceleration that the GV60 achieves when you push that button, I believe.

How big is the battery? What does the interval look like? Both are very good questions and we still don’t know. We know that, like other products from Hyundai, Kia and Genesis, we will use the 800-volt architecture, which Genesis says can allow to charge the engine from 10-80% capacity to 350kW in less than 20 minutes. That’s pretty fantastic. It will also have an output plug that allows you to power outdoor accessories and tools with a total power of up to 3.6 kW, which is usually enough to run a good backyard, neighborhood outdoor movie night, or run your fridge and freezer. hot California summer eclipse

The interior, like the exterior, does not differ from the standard GV70, which is still great. The theme of the Genesis design is called “The Beauty of White Space,” but what it really means is that it looks at the spaces between hard interior points. The GV70, and indeed almost all of the brand’s offerings today, offer an interior that is both functional and beautiful, elements that represent a truly artistic design and not function as you would, for example, in a radical Spartan style. Tesla Model Y cockpit. The best thing about these Genesis Electrified models is that they all use real models
There is a big difference between the electrified cabin of the GV70 and the gas-powered variants, and it can be seen in the back seat. Because there’s nothing physically connecting the front wheels to the rear wheels – there’s nothing like the rear-wheel drive gas GV70 – the Genesis passenger was able to pull a bit of rear legroom. This means more legroom for the rear passenger, which is always nice.
Genesis Gv70 Review
That’s pretty much all we know about the new electrified GV70 SUV. Pricing, availability and more information will be available closer to the expected start of the car in 2013.
The US-made Electrified GV70 will provide an exciting experience for luxury electric SUV designers. What would you choose: a spaceship with a completely new look and features, the unmistakably stylish all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV? Or the traditional, completely custom and not at all amazing GV70 Electrified, which looks like a regular SUV, but has completely silent control and ridiculous acceleration? Driving the electrified G80 sedan, I can tell you a truly luxurious experience: all the familiar luxury of a large, conventional car, but with the ultimate luxury of completely silent controls that only enhances the silent, isolated experience. We will see in the new year where people will go.

Expert Review 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X Review: The Perfectly Built Thing Ever Aaron Bragman Detroit Service Manager Genesis is a young automaker that didn’t have an SUV in its lineup until a couple of years ago. That changed with the introduction of the mid-size GV80 in 2021, and last year saw the arrival of the latest SUV, the GV70. Not only this year, but also this year is the beginning of the upcoming Korean electric luxury brand. It’s all new for the 2023 Genesis SUV lineup.
The Electric GV60 is the new name for 2023 and is the first dedicated EV in the Genesis portfolio. Built on the same E-GMP platform as the excellent Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq V, the GV60 offers the same lightning-fast maximum thrust of 235kW.

The GV60 Advanced shares power input with the dual-motor Ioniq 5 and EV6, while the GV60 Performance adds a more powerful front engine with 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the Performance model has an electronically adjustable suspension. The Genesis also includes a connected infotainment system that can complete over-the-air updates.
Genesis brings several significant changes to the compact GV70, now in its second year on the market. For buyers who prefer the 2.5-liter turbo four, the base Selecta gets three heated wheels and upgraded front bumpers, upgraded models add new Lexicon premium audio, and the Sport Prestige adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and three-in. zone of broad climate control. All models equipped with the four-cylinder Lustrous and the twin-turbo V-6 add black-painted rear brake calipers to match the fronts, and the steering wheel buttons are now mechanical instead of tactile.
Genesis also gives some changes to its color. Adriatic Blue is replaced by Capri Blue, Makalu Gray is switched from Himalayan Gray and Melbourne Gray Matte is switched off, leaving Makalu Gray Matte.
The largest Genesis SUV, the GV80 shares the same color scheme as the GV70, but the differences don’t stop there. The Genesis redesigned the infotainment console and second-row cockpit, and the 2.5T Advanced added a panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats. RWD versions of the four-cylinder GV80 are no longer available for 2023, but this 2.5T model can still be ordered with all-wheel drive.
Genesis Electrified Gv70 Up Close: Hiding In Plain Sight
In addition to the all-electric GV70, Genesis may develop several other new models. In a video released in an interview with Genesis Chief Creator Luc Donkervolk, one shot shows a rack full of preview-size models of the author’s yet-to-be-revealed models.
Based on this easter egg, we expect Genesis to announce a similar version of the GV80 to the luxury SUVs BMW X6 and the flagship three-row GV90 as the BMW X6 will crown the Genesis SUV lineup.
